what is breathwork?

Breathwork is a deeply transformative, effective, and tangible healing modality. By using conscious and intentional breath patterns, you can disconnect from your mind, ease anxiety, release stuck emotions, and begin to re-calibrate your nervous system.

Breathwork drops you into your body where you can more easily access your intuitive knowing, allowing for new neural pathways to be formed, releasing you from old habits and healing deep emotional wounds.

what to expect during a session

Sage’s sessions include an introduction to breathwork and an overview of what you may experience physically and emotionally with time to ask questions or discuss your intentions for the session(s).

In collaboration with Sage, together you will choose a breath pattern(s) that feels most supportive for you. You will be guided through a grounding meditation followed by the active breath portion of the session accompanied by rhythmic music. Sage will support you with compassion and non-judgment and provide verbal cues when needed. In-person sessions may include hands-on touch (with consent), live instruments, energy work, and essential oils.

There will be a period of stillness and savasana to close out the session, allowing your system to integrate the experience and ground your body. You will have the opportunity to share and reflect on our experience with Sage, allowing for insights and realizations to be processed and integrated. Journaling is often encouraged and post-breathwork tips will be shared.
